We started project BLUE as a realistic way for surfers and beach enthusiasts help support groups that tirelessly work to take care of our oceans and waterways.
It should be no surprise to anyone that our oceans and beaches need help. Project BLUE launched as a surf industry initiative dedicated to keeping our playgrounds safe and thriving. Through project BLUE, leading brands in the surf industry have come together to collaborate on products and retail initiatives to support the Surf Industry Manufacturers Association (SIMA) Environmental Fund.
We realize that not everyone is going to be able to make the time to volunteer for a beach cleanup or similar activity. But eventually, you’re going to need to replace your gear and that’s where project BLUE comes in.
When you buy something from the project BLUE lineup, a portion of the proceeds go towards the SIMA Environmental Fund, benefiting more almost 20 environmentally focused organizations, all of whom share a common mission in protecting our playgrounds.
Project BLUE gives people an easy way to plug into causes close to their hearts. We’re not encouraging over-consumption, rather project BLUE is about giving you the option to back brands that support issues that are important to you.
